Do your parties always wind up in the kitchen?  GVHBA VP & CEO
Peter Simpson and GVHBA President M.J. Whitemarch found
themselves in HOME 2000's delightfully homey kitchen on opening day.
The preparation area is logically laid out to maximize efficiency and allow interaction
with family and or guests seated in the open dining area.  The ceramic tile floors
from Fontile make cleaning a breeze...

Living Room

The Living Room shown while on display at BC Place is light and bright, no doubt in part,
as a result of the Euroline Windows used throughout the home.   A neat feature of
these windows in the way they can open from the side...or from the top down...
The Living Room's natural gas fireplace is surrounded by stone creating a  place to display plants
and treasures safe from the hands of inquisitive children or playful puppies.
Colour is important to the mood and ambience of a home.  Most of the furniture is from the Brick and Pier 1 Imports.  The designers have used Glidden Paints "Fennel" - (a soft misty green) colour in the Living Room and
"Coneflower" - (a warm yellow) in the Kitchen.of HOME 2000.
At the side of the home is another Living Room... this one of the outdoors variety...
a peaceful oasis with a soothing water feature...

A straight line wide staircase makes it possible to add a stair climber
at some future date should one be required by some member of the family.
All of the halls and doorways are 36 inches wide rather than the standard 28.
The extra six inches make it possible for walkers and wheelchairs to use every room in the house.
Wood, installed by Metropolitan Hardwood Floors was used throughout the entire home,
except for the kitchens and baths which were tiled.  The soft amber chosen adds a warm glow to every room.
These non-off gassing materials are a healthy alternative choice for floor coverings for people who may
have allergies or sensitivity to synthetics used in carpeting... although we should tell you that there are
some excellent recycled plastic carpet products out there that give you yet another option.
When choosing elements for your home, research the choices that are best for your lifestyle
and both current and future needs.

Bedrooms & Baths

The warm colours chosen for the Master Bedroom and Ensuite and the Blue Room next to it
reflect the decorating tastes of  the Connor Group team of marketing experts.

An office... Do you need one?   Otherwise this delightful den on the main floor,
with it's own entrance to the main floor bath and a patio door to the garden, could become a bedroom
or family room.  It's close to the kitchen for snacking too!
Provision has also been made in the HOME 2000 plan for expansion.  The home can be built as a single family unit...
but it can also be converted to a duplex with minimal modification as the family's needs change.  Read the articles and see the floor plan details...>>>
