.
he User Friendly Demonstration Home
has been created for the comfort and convenience of everyone, including children and visiting grandparents who will find a place here to comfortably use the entire home; and its gardens too! The west coast look is firmly in hand, from the exterior details to the colours, finishes and furnishings of the interior.Builder - Leigh Grelish, Interior Designer - Bruce Forster & Architect - Mary Ann Clarke-Scott choose tile samples from Acer Ceramica for the User Friendly Demonstration Home
.The Architecture
of the house is inspired by the traditional look of the stately homes of Marine Drive with a west coast flavour that keeps it up to date. The exterior combinations of a variety of elements including river rock, shingle and shiplap siding were used. The roof lines and roof-top cupolas found in the nearby equestrian area of Southlands are repeated here to integrate well with the ever-changing fabric of Vancouvers neighbourhoods. The Interiors
come alive and elegantly reflect the style of the exterior, as well as the up-to-the-minute lifestyle of our Canadian family. The colours are subtle and calming with stronger highlights used for special emphasis throughout. A palette inspired by nature with colours called sepia, oatcake, river rock, sprig, loganberry, and green almond bring the outdoors inside while a mixture of furniture styles will reflect the blended nature of many households. Everything from simple craftsmen style to traditional to country casual will combine to make a comfortable, welcoming home. Many of the classic elements such as hardwood floors, moldings and fireplaces will co-exist with computers, state of the art lighting and wiring to take anyone who lives here well into the next century.
